Attention Newbie Internet Marketers - Do These Three Steps Or Fail

By Don Contreras - There are many risks involved when trying to sell things, whether online or off-line - this is common knowledge.

An example of this would be playing a sport like football - chances are, you will get injured. Just like football, you can do many things with your online business that will minimize the potential for injuries.

Getting knocked down, and sustaining a few injuries, it's probably going to happen. You have the ability to get up, even if you've been knocked down. Remember that!

We understand that building your online business isn't the only concern you have in your busy life. As if building a business from scratch wasn't enough, you also have to pay attention to your family, keep track of your finances and maybe even work at a job as well.

You don't have to feel that your circumstances are unique, as all online marketers are challenged with schedules that are overfilled. Among the many abilities you need to succeed with your business, time management is near the top of the list. Once you are successful, then nothing will change in some regards because you will get busier with other challenges in business. The sooner you start to figure out how to manage your time, the more smoothly your online marketing career will proceed.

There have been so many people over the years who have bought information about marketing and then never even read or used it. What happens is the trend doesn't stop - they continue to buy products for years without looking at them. It is as if they convince themselves that buying these products is productive, when they are doing nothing but spending money. If this is happening to you, you need to condition yourself to stop this detrimental behavior right now. As long as you are able to implement what you are buying immediately, it would be okay to purchase something. You need to avoid buying anything, unless you use it right away, because you won't use it later.

You will notice that most aspiring Internet entrepreneurs usually come from full-time jobs in the real world. So what that should tell you is they have more or less been doing the same thing for years. Once they try out online marketing, the stable steady state of their full-time job disappears, replaced by the fluidity of the Internet itself. Depending upon how they handle these changes, they may adapt, or reject the Internet, something that they were definitely not used to. In fact, the Internet favors change, and tends to reject those that like things remain the same. Because things change so rapidly, it is inevitable that change will occur for your business. Yes, the Internet can be uncomfortable at times, very different, but the reality is you need to get used to things that are out of your comfort zone.

I have talked about risk management and a few other types of management that are part of it. The more that you learn, specifically in these areas, the higher the probability that you will have of having a successful online business. Time management is one of them, and the other is making your mind tough for business. Keep learning! The more that you learn, the more likely it is that you will succeed.
