Top Anti Aging Skin Care Tips Revealed

By Stacy Ball - Every one is aging all the time. There is absolutely nothing we can do about that. What we can do is to limit the damage caused by environmental and lifestyle issues. Below are six great age reducing tips for your skin.

1. Protect Against Sun Damage

The sun is the largest threat to trying to keep your skin looking young. This includes your hands and arms. Be sure to wear a SPF 15 or greater sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection every day. Cover up with a hat and protective clothing when possible.

2. Maintain Healthy Diet Habits

Eating healthy is good for your entire body, including your skin. Be sure to eat a well-rounded and healthy diet that includes fruits and vegetables, and whole grains.

3. Drink Plenty Of Water

Water is important for our bodies, including our skin. Not being hydrated enough increases your risk for sun damage. The old eight glasses a day saying is a bit overblown, though. In fact, drinking too much water can actually flush out vitamins and electrolytes. You might be asking, "how do I know when I've had enough water?" Well, when you aren't thirsty any longer.

4. Get Your Rest

Getting enough sleep is important for our bodies to function properly while also helping to reduce unsightly eye puffiness or dark circles. Sleeping on your back will also help prevent wrinkles caused by years of your face being implanted into your pillow.

5. Steer Clear Of Bad Habits To Steer Clear Of Bad Skin

Smoking and excessive drinking are bad, mmkay? This is true even for your skin. According to studies, enzymes in your skin can be activated by smoking that reduce the elasticity of skin. Also, have you ever noticed how some people who smoke a lot have wrinkles right around their lips? That is caused from the frequent puckering. Quit smoking and limit your drinking for both the health benefits and for the benefit of your skin.

6. For Your Skin's Future, You Gotta Wear Shades

Sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun and they also keep you from squinting, which causes eye wrinkles. Enough said.

Some of the tips I mentioned above will be hard for many people. That's understandable. However, for every tip above that you can incorporate into your daily routine, it will payoff dividends on slowing down the hands of time on your skin.
