Whether is it a Small Wedding Budgets for a Wedding?

By Miracle Pan - I would start shopping at a dress shop that people in your area go to, even if you think they had a bigger budget. Generally the bridal shops have a range of dresses. Where I went, they ranged from $150 - $2000. The $150 dresses were sold as-is, off the rack. Usually dress samples that are discontinued. So that may be a good option for you. Also, ask around and find out when they have sales.

Usually twice a year shops have big sales to move samples for new inventory. However, still look at the full-priced ones, b/c sometimes the prices aren't as good. Also, many people go to David's Bridal. I did go once, but quickly learned their stuff was overpriced for the quality. I was able to get a much better quality dress at a local shop, for a better price!

Extras w/ the dress - Depends on the dress you pick out. My dress has a built in hidden corset, and is a trumpet style - so I have no need for extra "fluff" underneath, or a tummy tucker or span b/c of the built in corset. Usually, the cheaper the dress, the more likely you'll have to buy more stuff to wear with it. But if you are wearing a veil - that'll cost some extra ($100-$500), unless you get a $15 one from Hobby Lobby. From what I noticed, the longer the veil, the more expensive.

If you want to look the best in the dress I would recommend getting the full bra and slip with it because it tends to make the dress look better, and help you look your best in a beautiful dress. I also bought some very elegant looking ballet flats because they were just more comfortable than wearing heels all night. It sounds to me like you have really thought about this and are on the right track!

Slow down and take a deep breath.......... :) Don't stress too much about gown shopping - it is one of the most fun experiences of your life!! You asked a lot of questions here, so I hope to answer them for you... First it is not too late to go shopping. I'm getting married the end of March. I started dress shopping this past January (15 months in advance), finally picked one and ordered it in May.

I worked in a department store and one year a bride came in and purchased four, floor length midnight blue skirts. She told her attendants to each wear her own white blouse. Best wishes to you. You have a person you love, a license, officiate, some refreshments, and people who love you to celebrate with you. It will be a beautiful day.
