Finding Your Dream Wedding Location

By Timothy Lehr - One of the most important things to consider during wedding planning, is the location of your wedding. The location you choose is vital to achieving your dream wedding, so before making a decision you must consider multiple locations and factors to find the perfect place to get married.

The first thing to consider is if the ceremony and reception will be held together. The venue you choose must have a license that will allow them to make you marriage legal. You can look online to find out which locations have a license. Holding them together does limit the available venues you have to choose from.

It is possible to get legally married in court or a church, then hold the reception in a separate location that will accommodate all of your guests. You may want to consider making your guest list before you decide on a location. It may be harder to find a large enough venue for all your guests than you think. You can decide to invite people to just the ceremony, just the reception, or both. Because most locations charge each person for the breakfast, the price can often rise. You can lower your costs by just inviting some people to the reception.

Most people plan their wedding close to the brides home. This allows you to be in a familiar area where most of the guests are close to. It is becoming more popular to have a destination wedding. If you chose a destination wedding you must give your guests time to save the money they need to attend. Many people who chose this option will still have a reception in their hometown.

Another thing to consider during wedding planning is the season you want to get married in. Many couples decided to get married during warmer times of year. You may find that many locations offer a discount for winter weddings. Most wedding party photographs are taken outside, this is something to consider if planning a winter wedding. But, it is possible for there to be bad weather in the summer too.

Your wedding plan should also have a theme. You should choose a location based on this theme. If you plan a theme it needs to fit the location you choose, in order to plan your dream wedding. You can also choose not to have a theme, and have a more simple traditional wedding at whatever location you and your partner decide is best for your dream wedding.
